This has led her to develop her own person centred, value-led, inclusive approach to change management; improving and enhancing services where they may otherwise be letting people down.
Her work has resulted in long term projects that have listened to everyone involved and invested in a service, given people a voice to share their thoughts and opinions and merged that with expertise, skills and purpose.
Tracy and her team sensitively and professionally work alongside key stakeholders to make the substantial and successful changes that guarantee safe and supported lives for children, young people and adults.
Change Management Programmes
As Head of Disability care and short breaks for a National Youth Service providing hundreds of places annually in outdoor activity centres, Tracy managed and restructured their short -breaks provision, overcoming many challenges in the process.
In doing so, this increased capacity in the South of England for parents to gain much-needed respite for themselves and for their young people to have an exciting adventure holiday within a caring and safe environment.
As Responsible Person for a charity for unaccompanied refugee and asylum-seeking children, Tracy has revamped and restructured the service to get Ofsted ready with confidence and support the growth of the staff team who are more capable and committed to serving the young people living in two supported accommodation homes.
These are just two examples of a catalogue of other change management programmes led by Tracy that have been successfully undertaken in Children’s Homes and Fostering Services countrywide.
The Freedom approach is one that welcomes the input of all key stakeholders and brings everyone together under a vision of Outstanding service. Tracy personally believes that relationships with the people working and using services and their families, friends and community are vital to successful and sustainable change management.
She now ensures her team also prioritise those relationships and that this often delicate and dedicated work is done to the very best of the team’s ability.
